Frequently Asked Questions
What we are providing
What types of projects do you specialize in?
I specialize in remodels and custom home projects where layout, flow, and finish selections play a big role. My sweet spot is helping homeowners make smart, stylish decisions about things like space planning, cabinetry, tile, countertops, and other hard finishes—especially when there's a contractor or builder already on board.
What makes your design process different?
I focus on structure, flow, and materials—not just how things look, but how they work. I blend creativity with technical know-how, so every design choice supports your lifestyle. Plus, I keep things light and collaborative—you might even enjoy the process (imagine that!).
Can you work with my contractor or builder?
Absolutely! I love collaborating with builders and contractors. My job is to help bridge the gap between design vision and construction details, so everyone’s on the same page. I’ll bring clarity to selections and communicate directly with your team when needed.
How Long Will My Project Take?
Every project is different, so timelines can vary based on the scope of work, how quickly decisions are made, and product availability. A small bathroom refresh can take a few weeks, while a full-scale remodel or new build could take several months or more from start to finish.
Once we understand your goals and the size of your project, we’ll provide a more tailored timeline—along with honest updates along the way. Clear communication is a big part of how we keep things moving smoothly (and keep surprises to a minimum!).
Do you work on furnishing and décor?
My focus is on the “bones” of the home—space planning, built-ins, hard finishes, and cabinetry. I don’t offer furnishing or decorating services, but I’ll make sure your foundation is so well-designed that whatever furniture you bring in feels like it belongs.
What areas do you serve?
I will go to any part of Michigan to work on a project. Being centrally located in the state capital of Lansing I mainly serve the Mid Michigan area.
